Well, I haven’t done anything about that sock yet. I did start a short-sleeve turtleneck sweater for myself, though. When my family was visitng the University of Oklahoma for my brother last week, we stopped at Sealed with a Kiss yarn store (www.swakknit.com) and I bought the supplies for the sweater. It is in Sirdar Nova Super Chunky and is going really quickly on #11 needles. (And I DID check my gauge for THIS project
)
I’m working on a frog hat and socks set for my Algebra teacher’s baby son. I had just done a duck hat and sock set for my English teacher’s baby, and the same person wrote both patterns, so I figured I didn’t need a new gauge swatch. Boy, was I wrong. That sock fits ME! My row gauge is right and my stitch gauge is way, way wrong. I’m going to have to rip it out and get smaller needles to knit it with. (Or I could just keep knitting it the way it is and make some frog socks for myself…
)
I’ve never ‘blogged’ before, so this is brand new to me! I’ll start with a little about me- I’m a eighth-grade girl in Texas. I love to dance and act, and I’m fascinated by fiber arts. I knit, crochet, and cross-stitch, and I’m (hopefully) getting a book on quilting and a drop-spindle kit for Christmas. I’ll post pictures of all my projects if I figure out how to post pictures on this site.
