Well, I’ve given the frog hat and the Christmas tree hat, but I didn’t finish the socks. =( I told my teacher that I’ll give them to her the first day back from break. Every day this week I’ve had planned what I was going to post, but I was working on the socks so much that I didn’t have time. Well, I started another dance class tonight and it was really fun! I was way behind because it has been going on for a couple months, but I’ll catch up quickly enough. I’m looking into starting pre-pointe after my drill team has gone to competition and we don’t practice after school. Next year I’ll take tap, hip-hop (my Thursday class), pointe, and a competition dance team at the studio I take at instead of drill team at school (it gets too political- especially being an officer).
Well, I might as well TRY to work on the socks. But I’m sort of knitter out. From Tom Sawyer, "Work is whatever a body is obliged to do, and play is whatever a body is not obliged to do." So true.
I might just give her a pair of white socks painted with fabric paint and say hand-knitted ones are on the way. A TAG teacher will understand- we are a bunch of smart weirdos!
I need to go to sleep- I’ve got another Algebra test tomorrow. After that, it’s Christmas break!!! Ahhh, two weeks of bliss. I hope to get some knitting stuff for Christmas- the los lobe hose earring pattern, a pattern for a cute top, self-striping sock yarn… I gave my mom lots of suggestions
Since I never really know what my parents want for Christmas, I’m going to wrap up a little piece of paper that says "Knitted object of your choice" or something like that. That way they will be sure to like it! When I was litte I would always make the weirdest stuff for them- when I was 9 or 10 I made I pillow on which I embroidered (badly) "I love you" and when I was 7 of so I made a cube of wood exactly 1 inch in all directions (my dad helped me) which I painted green and gave to her for her birthday. Of course, it was of no use, but she loved it anyway.
Okay, enough of the cute little kid stories, I really do need sleep.
