The yarn for my mom’s cardi and my sweater came yesterday! They are almost exactly the same color- we didn’t mean to do that. Green is taking over my litte yarn stash! I have 3 different shades of Red Heart green (dark green from my brothers’ hats and mittens, dark green sport weight from the X-mas tree hat, light green worsted from the frog hat and socks), a bulkier dark green wool blend I’m making a shortsleeve sweater from, the Plymouth Encore I’m making my mom’s cardi with, and the Lion Brand Homespun I’m making my cabled sweater with. I keep buying yarn and when I get it home (or it arrives in the mail) I realize I’ve gotten green again! Well, at least I chose lavender for my summer top. *laugh* I think I’ll start my Great American Aran Afghan tonight. I didn’t knit on Mon. or Tues. because after knitting ALL day Sunday to finish my teacher’s socks my ring finger was aching (I guess I press it into the needle too much) my pinky was cramped (I wrap it around the bottom of the needle I’m working with at a very odd angle- I tried twisty-tying it to the rest of my hand to keep it from going off at its weird angle but it didn’t work), and I had a big red spot in the middle of my palm- stupid fingernails! My hands feel fine today (except cold- it finally got cold in TX! Course, now they’re saying the temp is going to go back up to about 60 tomorrow or the next day- blah! We need rain, too) Semester exams are next week.
They shouldn’t be too hard, especially my Regular American History class. It is such a contrast from Pre-AP, but some of the other kids are rather amusing because of their dumb comments. I made a 100 on my Algebra test we took the day before break! *happydance* Hmm- I think I start a new project to reward myself…
