Two days ago there was 2 inches of snow on the ground, and today it is 60 degrees outside and the sun is shining! Texas is crazy! I’m finally fixing the blue halter top I made over the summer- I moved the top triangles farther out and crossed the straps in the back. I’m actually enjoying sewing it up- crazy!

And here is the purple scarf! The picture doesn’t do the color justice- it is a wonderful plum-ish color.

Yesterday was great- I went over to a friend’s house and we went out in the snow on and off all day. We built a tall snowman with 2 other friends, but when we went back later its eyes and mouth (coal) were on the ground and its carrot nose was completely gone. It was really funny- every time we saw something orange we’d go running towards it thinking it was our carrot.

I wore my green sweater, the hat I made for my bro that was too small, and my first ever project, a blue scarf. Now I just need to knit socks and a skirt!

While sewing up my sweater, I realized that finishing really isn’t so bad! It was really neat tp watch all of the pieces come together into something recognizable. I still hate sewing in ends, though. A project can wait for weeks before I get tired of it taunting me and finally sew in the little tails.

I woke up to beautiful, beautiful SNOW this grand morning!! We never seem to get snow around Christmas, and this year January was like May, but this is the second (or maybe third?) year we’ve gotten snow in February! Last year it was the last week of Feb. and we had to postpone TAKS (writing) tesing! My cough is getting better- my mom started giving me garlic mixed with tomato juice- and I intend to go play in the snow!

Oh! I forgot! Last night I made a purple fluffy scarf! It is really cute! (picture tomorrow)

Well, I haven’t really gotten sick again- I just never got better. I have a horrible cough that causes a sore throat and a headache, and my nose is stopped up and runny. My mom has been making me go to bed early and I haven’t been on the computer or done any knitting. I really need to do the evil hat for my brother- the stupid thing is such a pain!
