I bought the yarn for my NoSweat Pants!! Woo Hoo! The color is Colonial- it is a dark blue mixed with a slightly lighter blue and gray. Very pretty. ‘Haley’ at WalMart wants to see them when thy’re done. It’s funny- whenever I take my knitting anywhere or talk about it people want to be able to see the finished product. The dentist wants to see my summer top, the orthodontist wants to see my green sweater (it’s too hot to wear now, though) and a cashier at WalMart wants to see my pants. I probably will never see her again though.
I finished my brother’s hat! I still have to weave in the ends (evil stripes!), which I can’t do yet because I lost my yarn needles several weeks ago. Oh well. Maybe when I’m at WalMart to buy yarn I can buy new yarn needles too.
Palo Duro was great! We hiked for three days in a row, and I’m sore!
Not as sore as my mom though. My brother’s face got really swollen- we’re not sure if it’s because of his sunburn or from poison ivy he could’ve gotten into a couple days ago. I was all set to finish his evil hat in the car when I got to the decreases and realized the pattern wasn’t in my big binder full that I brought along! ARGH! I’ll probably finish that today, though. I’ll try linking to the Spring Fling button from my little Angelfire website (I’ve signed up with PhotoBucket with two different emails, emailed them twice about why I didn’t get a confirmation email, no response, so I simply resize on my comp and then upload to Angelfire) The computer loves me so much! *snicker* Maybe I’ll try emailing BlogCity again. They never seem to get what I’m asking.
Back on knitting note, I’m about 9 inches along on my summer top. Compared to my first sweater on size 11’s, the size 6’s are taking forever! Of course, now when if I back to big needles the work will seem to positively fly! My mom’s pattern still has not come in- I don’t have very good luck with the mail or the computer! FCEK came in the mail, though. It has some cute stuff, but everything is very, uh, midriff baring. If you don’t live on the beach, where can you where that stuff? Certainly not school! I got a lot done on the car ride, but I had to keep taking breaks on the way back because I head a headache- the part in my hair got incredibly burnt and kept giving me a headache.
I didn’t go to the yarn store in Amarillo- my brothers were not willing to wait. But my mom did say she would take me to WalMart and Hobby Lobby and let me buy yarn for the NoSweat Pants!
