I’ve noticed a pattern in my knitting- I work in spurts. When I start a project, I get all excited over how it will be when I’m done, and I finish about half the project in just a few days. Then a month or two passes were I do nothing at all, and then suddenly I get inspired again and finish the project in a few more days of non-stop knitting. So my list of WIPs never goes down, because by the time I’ve finished a project, I have several more half done!
I worked on my summer top for awhile- aka the ‘purple thingy’. The knitting is really slow since I’m doing the front and back at the same time, and I’m increasing. After the increases are done and a little straight knitting, I’ll be to the armholes! So close! I got my blue halter top fixed up almost completely- I sewed down the straps to cross in the back now, added elastic, and laced the two triangles up in the middle. I need to line the triangles- they’ve stretched a bit, and they’re sort of see-through. Now that was a project that took awhile- I knit the whole thing in less than a week last summer, and it’s taken me the whole rest of the year to sew it all together so it doesn’t look inappropriate.
I need to work on my sweat pants, too. I just want to knock ‘purple thingy’ out of the way before approaching anything else…
