Uggh- I was mowing the lawn with the riding mower yesterday, but something messed up with the blade before I could finish. I got out the push mower today to try and finish, but the grass is really long and it kept stalling. I lifted it up to clear the grass out, and when I was putting it down the handle hit me in the head! Ow! Needless to say, I abandoned the lawn- I’ll just wait until the riding mower gets fixed! :P

As you can see, I made myself a banner-thingy last night. Haven’t perfected the button, though- I haven’t been able to reduce it to button size without Prince turning into a blurry blob.

I frogged the off-gauge cardi back last night, and I have to say, it’s fun to rip! I wanted to make a huge pile of curly yarn, but I knew it would turn into a huge tangly mess, so I settled for loops of it:

They look like a cross between Christmas wreaths and little green poodles! It’s now drying after soaking in water to straighten it out.

I’m going to try and make myself a nifty little Catknitter blog button using this adorable picture of my cat Prince:

I finished my tiny teacup today, but I haven’t knit a handle for it yet.

It needs to be blocked; right now it’s just sort of a blob of cloth without this weird berry thing inside it.

It actually looks better as a miniature hat (the little doll is a pen- I collected them a few years ago)
I’ve got a picture of my mom’s cardi, too- I’ve been working on a front and the back both.

Well, I finished the third book of the Song of Ice and Fire series today, so I can get back to my knitting. It’s possible to knit and read at the same time, but I find that I put down my knitting and don’t realize I’ve done so for quite awhile.

My dance performance went well, besides the fact that our music messed up the first time. It worked just fine when we had rehearsed an hour or two earlier.  And the stage had a table and large floral decoration on it  (which we had not been told about when they told us the dimensions of the stage), so it was a bit cramped, but it worked out.

I didn’t get any knitting done while I was there, but I did do a little today. Not much, but a little.

I worked on my mom’s cardi a little yesterday while watching Fahrenheit 9/11.  I tried to knit while reading today, but at some point I put down my needles without noticing and never picked them back up. I’m not reading any classics or books I’m supposed to be reading for school; I indulged in a nice fantasy novel. Quite good, called A Game of Thrones. Even though it’s fantasy, the characters are written realistically.
