I haven’t been working on anything the past few days! (Not even the annotation I have to do for school!) I’ve been spending too much time looking at yarn on the internet… I’ve been really sluggish, I guess because the weather is really getting hot. Two of my skeins of Koigu are still on order and aren’t expected until early August, but the other 3 are in stock. I’m waiting to see if there will be additional shipping charges if I get them shipped seperately before I decide if I should have the first 3 held until the other 2 come.

I’ve been admiring the Felted Floral Bag from the Fall IK. I don’t want to have to pay $8 a skein (an $88 bag!), so I was looking at Paton’s Classic Wool as a substitute for the Jamieson’s. It’s hard to compare colors on the internet, though- I can’t tell which sites are accurate.

So no knitting progress, only planning progress. I have my first dance performance next week, though, so I’m sure I’ll be able to knit in the car on the way there. Hopefully my hip will be better- I did something to my sacro-illiac joint at a really long practice on Friday, and I’ve been going to the chiropractor to get it straightened out.

Whee! I bought yarn for Charlotte yesterday! I went to Four Seasons Knitting Products and ordered these five colors:    I’m excited! I guess I should make myself finish some other projects before I start a new one, though. I can’t wait until it arrives!

I got both my Family Circle Easy Knitting and Interweave Knits magazines today! Yay! There are lots of cute patterns. The FCEK was my last issue; I like IK better and will be keeping my subscription to that one.

I finished up the border on the back of the cardi and then worked for a bit on the front… mostly I was just admiring my new magazines.

The first time I knit the back, it was, "Just let me do one more row". This time, it’s, "I have to do one more row". It’s awful. And I’m not even past the seed stich border! I got used to knitting the front, which is, of course, half the size of the back. Each row seems to drag on forever. Ah, well. It’s good to alternate between working on the back and a front.

I’ve been admiring Charlotte Web shawls and looking at color combinations as well. It is so beautiful, but I’m not sure how much I would use a shawl. Although, a shawl would probably last me my whole life.

I wish that green cardi would be the right size after blocking, but it’s too far off. I tried stretching it out to the right width and it just looks deformed. :( Ah well, I’ve learned my lesson. No more "that’s about 5 stitches per inch" for me. Hehe.

I think I have been bitten by every mosquito in the state of Texas. I went to a party at a friend’s house on the fourth, and my arms and legs and feet and shoulders have bites all over them. Plus I’ve got some poison ivy on my stomach (No idea how that got there)
