I had a completely crazy day! We were flying kites in geometry (and finding distances w/ trig). Mine got stuck on the roof of a covered walkway, so my partner threw the string part up too so I could pull it over. Well, when I pulled it it flew into a window of a portable classroom and shattered it!  I had to go into the class and clean it up. After that, our kite got stuck in a tree. It was actually easier to find the measurements that way because it wasn’t moving. We finally got it down, but before that I broke my shoe and went traipsing through the mud barefoot. I looked a bit hobo-ish the rest of the day with a shoe flopping all over and mud covered feet and jeans!

The pattern for the pink sweater has the sleeves at three-quarter length, but I decided to make mine full length instead, with the frill hanging over my hands. I have really skinny, bony wrists, and when a sleeve ends just above them I look like I’m starving or something. Plus I really like long frilly sleeves.

My sacroiliac joint is jammed. Joy. My doctor says I can’t dance this week. :( Of course, I can hardly argue, considering the fact that bending over and long strides both cause me pain.

Sorry, I haven’t posted in a couple of weeks. I’ve been pretty busy with play practice, a dance competition, and school. We bought a piano, and now I have to find time for lessons. (Yay!)

I’ve knitted a bit on the pink sweater, but not much. It doesn’t look different enough for another picture, anyway. Next week is spring break, so I’m sure to get some knitting done then.

I have a two tests tomorrow- one on Protists and Fungi and one for speech. Speech seems to be a rather pointless class for someone who has written numerous papers and has acted in front of hundreds of people. I know how to write and I’m not afraid of public speaking.
I also have a history test on Tuesday and a Latin test on Wednesday, as well as a paper on Ernst Mayr due Wednesday. I finished that just now, though, since I have play practice both Mon and Tues and dance on Tues.

I’m going to the orthodontist on Wednesday to get impressions made for a retainer, and then two or three weeks later the braces are coming off! *happydance* I’ve had them for nearly five years now, and it will be truly amazing to have teeth again!

I finished the ruffle on the other front of the pink sweater, and now all I have to do is knit the sleeves and sew it up. Getting closer…

I went to a consignment/vintage store today, and I had a blast. Nice clothes for little money… it’s great!

I can’t believe how much different I look! It’s completely awesome! After four-and-a-half years, my lovely *cough* orthodontic experience is over!
